ORDER OF MERIT - Scottish Seniors

ORDERS OF MERIT

The Society's main tour Order of Merit has been, and may continue to be, used by Scottish Golf Ltd as part of the selection process for the Senior Men’s International Teams.

However, the SSGS has no input into the selection criteria, team selection or funding of any of the international teams.

Any queries regarding these should be directed to Scottish Golf. It's selection policy can be viewed on the Scottish Golf Ltd website 

There are four Order of Merit categories:

* Seniors - Gross OOM: Open to all members. The winner is awarded the SSGS Gross Seniors OOM trophy.

* Seniors - Net OOM: Open to all members. The winner is awarded the SSGS Seniors Net OOM trophy.

* Super Seniors - Gross OOM: Open to members aged 65 or over on the day of events. The winner is awarded the SSGS Super Seniors Gross OOM trophy.

* Super Seniors - Net OOM: Open to members aged 65 and over on the day of events. The winner is awareded the SSGS Super Seniors Net OOM trophy.

Super Senior OOM

The Super Senior Orders of Merit are stand-alone, with different points allocations from the main OOM. Both the scratch and net Super Senior OOM run on a calendar year basis and conclude after the last Super Senior event of the year.
