Stewart Henderson Wins South Of Scotland Open

Stewart Henderson (Hamilton) emerged the winner after 2 days play at Dumfries and County Golf Club. Stewart’s total of 138 was 2 shots clear of Scott Michie (Kinross). Tied for 3rd place on 141 were John Fraser (Royal Burgess), George Barrie (Callander), Tom McLevy (Blairgowrie) and James Graham (Lochmaben).
Denis McQuade (Glenbervie) edged out Scott Michie by way of countback for the best net score on 136. Stewart Henderson and Keith Ross (Beith G C) were tied 3rd on 138.
The course was presented in excellent conditions, although the speedy tricky greens posed a stiff test.
